Dr. Brandy Zachary, DC, IFMCP
Dr. Brandy Zachary, DC, IFMCP discovered the power of Functional Medicine first hand when a “mystery illness” left her declared permanently disabled and stuck in the hospital every 3 weeks costing $720k each year. Unwilling to accept that diagnosis, she fought back to regain her health and then launched Body Love Cafe, an award-winning holistic health clinic with multiple practitioners serving a worldwide audience.
Body Love Cafe is all about natural medicine that meets cutting-edge science to dig deeper and provide answers as to why you don’t feel well. We hear you. We see you. We believe you. It isn’t all in your head and we’ve got the technique and labs to show why.
Patients say “Dr. Z figures out why you feel like crap. but your MD says you’re fine.”
Dr. Zachary acts as the Clinical Director at BLC working patient cases & labs each week with the team of practitioners she has personally trained. With our team approach we like to say at BLC you don’t just get one provider, you get them all.
Dr. Zachary is also the lead instructor for the Functional Medicine Academy™, has completed extensive post-graduate coursework and thousands of patient visits. She regularly trains other physicians and practitioners in the science and art of Functional Medicine.
In 2016 Dr. Zachary designed a tool that helps doctors quickly analyze blood labs and in 2020 expanded that to a web-based software app to include hormone and gut health testing. That same year she also identified and created the nomenclature for a newly recognized metabolic condition which led to the MISSED patient protocol system. Dr. Zachary is currently working on a third book and lives with her husband and daughter in Walnut Creek, CA.
